What is A Ret?
A Ret is a medication prescribed for treating acne, specifically for exfoliating the affected skin areas and for unclogging the pores. A Ret is a strong defoliator which speeds up the growth cycle of the upper layer of skin or epidermis. A Ret contains the active ingredient tretinoin, a natural metabolite belonging to a class of retinoids. A Ret helps to minimize the signs and severity of acne.

A Ret is also used to improve the pigmentation of the skin through the elimination of melanin in the dermis or lower layer of the skin. A Ret can also be used to raise collagen in the cells of the skin and erases fine wrinkles in the skin. A Ret improves the appearance and characteristics of the skin diminishing scars caused by acne. The primary use for A Ret is the treatment of acne and its effects on the skin. A Ret will not have any dramatic effect on deep scars or severe wrinkling of the skin

Tretinoin is manufactured by numerous pharmaceutical companies and is available in several pharmaceutical formularies such as capsules, gel, and cream. A Ret is available in different strengths and forms and is manufactured by Shalaks Pharmaceuticals Limited.

How to use A Ret
A Ret should be used only as prescribed by your doctor. Never apply more than is prescribed or use more often or longer than instructed by your doctor.
Apply A Ret following these steps:

  • wash hands and skin affect by acne with a mild soap and water, dry skin with a patting motion rather than rubbing
  • wait for at least 20 minutes after cleansing to apply the medication
  • a dab of cream about the size of a pea should be applied with the fingers or a cotton ball
  • never use more cream than it takes to lightly cover the affected area

A Ret should be applied twice a day, morning and night, or as prescribed by your doctor. Regular application will help acne and acne scars heal faster. For A Ret to be the most effective it is important to follow the application schedule and to properly care for the affected area.

You may notice your acne get worse for the first week or so, this is normal so continue applying the medication as directed. You will notice an improvement in the appearance of the acne and scaring within 3-4 weeks with regular use.
Do not stop, start, or change the dosage of A Ret without the approval of your doctor.

Warnings and Precautions
Always follow your doctor's instruction for using A Ret.

If you forget an application and it is not close to the time for the next application, apply immediately. If it is almost time for next application, wait and apply at that time. Do not use more than is prescribed. If you accidently apply more A Ret than instructed you may require medical attention. Call your doctor immediately or go to the nearest walk-in clinic or emergency room if your doctor is not available.

Do not use A Ret if you are or have:

  • abnormally high white blood cell (WBC) count
  • allergies to tretinoin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • bleeding or blood clotting disorders
  • pregnant or plan to become pregnant
  • breastfeeding or plan to breast feed
  • chronic bladder infections
  • kidney disease
  • liver disease
  • diabetes
  • thyroid problems
  • stomach ulcers
  • ulcerative colitis
  • Additional precautionary measures include:
  • do not exceed dosage amount
  • A Ret may be harmful if swallowed
  • for topical use only

tretinoin is a topical medication, eyes and mucous membranes should be rinsed thoroughly with warm water if A Ret accidently comes in them
Do not use more or for longer periods of time than is prescribed by your doctor and do not use past the expiration date on the label.

Do not use on children, unless prescribed by their doctor. A Ret may cause damage to the sensitive skin of children.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Drug Interactions
Certain other drugs may interact with A Ret and could increase the risk of serious side effects. Consult your doctor is you take any of the following drugs:

  • methyclothiazide
  • methotrexate
  • lymecycline
  • levofloxacin
  • bendroflumethiazide
  • chlorothiazide
  • chlorpromazine
  • chlorthalidone
  • ciprofloxacin
  • fleroxacin
  • fluphenazine
  • gemifloxacin
  • hydrochlorothiazide
  • indapamide
  • cyclopenthiazide
  • demeclocycline
  • doxycycline

Potential Side Effects
As is possible with all medications, you may experience a side effect when using A Ret. If you have any of the following reactions it is important that you seek medical attention.

  • blister formation
  • crusting of the skin
  • inflammation
  • irritation or rash
  • itching
  • numbness
  • scaling of skin
  • skin peeling off
  • stinging or burning sensation on the skin of area applied
