Seroflo Inhaler - 25 mcg + 125 mcg

Salmeterol + Fluticasone Propionate
Seroflo Inhaler - 25 mcg + 125 mcg

Seroflo is an asthma medication containing the active ingredients, salmeterol xinafoate and fluticasone propionate. Asthma is a medical condition which causes constriction of the air passages in the lungs resulting in difficulty breathing. Breathing difficulties occur when the air passages become inflamed and swollen and the smooth muscles in the air way constrict. As the air passage swell, the muscles tighten restricting air flow further.

Salmeterol xinafoate and and fluticasone propionate, work together to treat the asthma symptoms. Fluticasone reduces inflammation in the air passages and salmeterol relaxes the muscles in the air passages.
Seroflo  is a preventative medication and will not stop an asthma attack that is in progress.

Seroflo 25 mcg/125 mcg is prescribed to control the symptoms caused by asthma. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and salmeterol xinafoate is a beta antagonist that provides long lasting relaxation of the smooth muscles of the air passages.

Seroflo works by stimulating the beta two receptors that relax the smooth muscles from the trachea to the bronchioles and reducing inflammation of the air passages in the lungs. The combination of active ingredients works by stopping the production inflammatory cell mediators and increases the bronchi's ability to relax the constricted smooth muscles in the air way decreasing air way swelling and irritation.

Seroflo is manufactured by Cipla, India. The US name brand is Advair Inhaler. Seroflo  is available in the following strengths 25 mcg/125 mcg and 25 mcg/250 mcg inhalers, multihalers, and autohalers
